All participants noticed that the process helped them feel more in the present moment.
Earlier this month we ran three days of Online Mindful Photography for our Rise to Thrive participants.

Are you in North Yorkshire? Are you not in work and not currently seeing work? Are you in employment and experiencing mental health or physical challenges? Are you in work and neurodivergent?

Our project is very welcoming !
If you fit the criteria above; you could join up – we have just the workshop for you!
On 30 September – 2 October 2024 six participants met over zoom and we began our Mindful Photography journey. The weather certainly wasnโt kind to us on the first two days; but we took the time to just appreciate things as they were.

We worked through various grounding exercises to just encourage our observation skills asking ourselves โwhere did we feel things in our bodies ?โ
We completed tasks and some of the activities worked and some didnโt; we recognised how it felt when the outcome didnโt meet our expectation and celebrated our positive reactions.

On our final day we worked on our final project and here are some of the images:

All participants felt the project supported their social connections.
All participants felt the project supported their emotional health.
All participants said theyโd continue the process of using Mindful Photography to support their wellbeing.
All participants noticed that the process helped them feel more in the present moment.
