One of the biggest lessons from our Eastfield project is that community partnerships make our work possible.
This project grew through collaboration with organisations including Carers Plus, More Than Books, Sparks, SWR Mind and Living Well.
Local businesses also supported the project by displaying leaflets and helping us reach residents who may not normally engage with wellbeing services.
One of the most special outcomes has been the community exhibition at More Than Books library, where participants’ photographs and stories are now on display.
The exhibition allows residents to see how photography can be used not only as creative expression but as a way to explore wellbeing, identity and connection.
It has become a space where people can see the journeys behind the images and perhaps be inspired to try the process themselves.
At its heart, this project has never just been about photography.
It has been about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard and connected.
