More about your host:
Rebecca Rowan “I have been facilitating workshops linking photography and wellbeing for over 16 years. I am a qualified coach, tutor and facilitator, trained in participatory photography technique via PhotoVoice and Mental Health First Aid Level 3. I also hold a distinguished qualification in Therapeutic Photography from Robert Gordon University under the mentorship of Dr. Neil Gibson.”

Mindful Photography is a process of using your camera to slow down and take notice of your surroundings. You do not need any specialist equipment and it is accessible to all.

We want you to fully engage in the mindful photography experience; a mixture of live delivery and then time to reflect on your own allows you to progress at your own pace, at a time convenient to you.

Slow down, take notice and nurture awareness with Rebecca

In our recent online workshop in February 2025 participants said;

“I met myself recently, I knew that I existed but I wasn’t sure who I was or where I belonged. Mindful Photography was the beginning of my awakening”. Vicky, February 2025

“I found the course well organised, welcoming, it definitely benefited my mental health and I would definitely recommend it”, scary to creativity! Catherine, February 2025

“Rebecca facilitated a brilliant initial workshop and provided really interesting activities for us during the week. She was positive and encouraging in her approach. I really liked the fact that there was no pressure to post every day, and if the activities brought other things into play, we could post about those too. She provided a safe space for us to explore mindful photography, get to know each other, and celebrate our wins together”. Sinead, February 2025

“I definitely feel more empowered by the process because it stops me feeling controlled by anxiety and thoughts. It gets me out of my head and feels like a superpower I can use when I need it”. Beth, February 2024

“I love how photography can transform how things appear depending upon your perspective.” Linda, November 2023
