Mindful Photography workshops

We are taking advantage of the beautiful colours we have seen recently and really appreciating getting out and about in groups. The learners at York Mind are coming to the end of their six week course in Mindful Photography and have all decided to sign up again for another six week block. This is a testament to the benefits of Mindful Photography; and how the process can build up a close group dynamic. The techniques can be adopted at any given point in time, I remind people that you can try it anywhere. The real pleasure is in the sharing of images and learning from each other.

I had some lovely feedback at the end of the course one participant said – The workshop was ….

“Grounding, inspirational and builds confidence”.

November 2022

The next workshops at York Mind are filling up fast but you can email activities@yorkmind.org.uk for a place on the waiting list.

Images taken at an ATI workshop in Thirsk last week

We have also enjoyed workshops in Thirsk and even managed to try some geo-caching the other day – and why not?! I love it when a session goes off on a little tangent and learners tell me more about themselves. Action Towards Inclusion is a project to help support learners with the confidence and being part of a project will do just that.

Recycle Project CIC York

So what’s happening now ?

I met up with Bradley a couple of weeks ago from The Recycle Project CIC in York https://therecycleprojectcic.com/ and am really pleased to be delivering a session soon. It is a simple introduction to Mindful Photography and we have the inspiration of all the wonderful finds which have been salvaged from York’s local landfill sites.
