There’s a place for every sort of photography workshop – ones that focus on technical skill, composition and post processing but it’s important that on a therapeutic photography workshop I’m getting my initial event wording just right …. because therapeutic Photography is a little different.

I need to be careful how I outline the purpose of the event; I need to introduce the concept of therapeutic or mindful photography in a really succinct and impactful way and ensure I’m inviting people to remove all judgement.

We have no judgement around your –
📷 personal background
📷 photo equipment
📷 skills
📷 abilities
📷 visual literacy
📷 emotional literacy
These bottom two – we’ll work on together – that’s what therapeutic photography is all about and you’re in safe hands.

Glad to see we hit the spot on our photography meet up on Strensall common – here’s some more fantastic feedback – glad we were “nerding out” on the right stuff here !!
What a wonderful phrase ❤️

“It was nice that you managed to get a group of people who were ‘into’ the event, instead of nerding out on equipment, like some photo walks I’ve been on”

Ps we just loved these little beak marks from a local woodpecker I don’t think I’ve ever seen that so close up before!
